HTC Butterfly Specification Review

In this month (2012, December), HTC announce their new smartphone called HTC Butterfly, this is a smartphone with Android OS Jelly Bean and work on GSM network. This phone also known as HTC Deluxe in some countries. This post will review the specification of HTC Butterfly and what amazing features which offered by this phone.

General Info

HTC Butterfly work on GSM network, this phone support for 3G network and also supported with LTE technology. This phone use Micro SIM card, if you have old SIM card but you want to use it to this HTC smartphone, you can cut your SIM card using SIM card cutter in cell phone shop. The dimensions of this phone is 143 x 70.5 x 9.1 mm (5.63 x 2.78 x 0.36 in) while it's weight is 140 g (4.94 oz).

Display

HTC Butterfly use Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors for it's display. The screen resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels with 5.0 inches screen width. It support for multitouch and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Display and it use HTC Sense UI 4+.

Sound

In this section, HTC Butterfly support for some music files, i.e mp3 and WAV files. You can customize your call alert with mp3 or WAV music files. To listening music or make a call loudly, it equipped with loudspeaker. Another connection is 3.5 mm audio jack for head phones or hands free that useful when you receive call during driving a car or motorcycle. A features that offered in this section is Beats Audio sound enhancement.

Memory

Talking about memory card, HTC Butterfly has large size internal memory, i.e 16 GB (11 GB user available). If you still need more capacity, you can add more space using microSD card up to 32 GB. To support the phone performance, HTC pin 2 GB of RAM to this phone.

Data
On connection feature, HTC Butterfly has a complete connection features. It can be connected to the network via GPRS, EDGE, 3G, and LTE. Another connectivity tools is WiFi features with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot. The connection speed of HTC Butterfly can reach up to 50 Mbps for upload and up to 100 Mbps for download.

Camera
HTC Butterfly has a great camera feature with 8 megapixel quality and resolution up to 3264x2448 pixels. Some features which pinned to the camera including auto focus, LED flash, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, face and smile detection. On video mode, HTC Butterfly equipped with video stabilization and stereo sound recorder feature. Besides the main camera, it also equipped with secondary camera with quality 2.1 megapixels.

HTC Butterfly use Android OS, v4.1 (Jelly Bean), upgradable to v4.2 (Jelly Bean) as the operating system, for the CPU, it use Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait while GPU is Adreno 320. On sensors feature are Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass.
